Cho cho train

Morning all.
Today we have another new challenge at CRAFT challenge.
Things with wheels
We have lots of sponsors again.

For my DT card I've used an image from
they are our sponsor for the star of the month

Here's my DT card

I've used papers from a Basic grey paper pad called Oxford. I've got chance to use my new Candi from Craftwork cards, I just love the metallic effect it has. I've coloured in the digi image with a mixture of Tria markers and Promarkers and I've made a sentiment using a SU stamp and SU punches (modern label and word window)
Don't forget to check out the other DT cards for inspiration here.
Thanks for looking.

Flower girl

Morning all, the weather seams to be getting a bit warmer so it's perfect timing for the next challgne at CRAFT challenge which is Handmade flowers.
We have  3 sponsors this week

For my DT card I've used this pretty digi image from Aifactory, isn't she sweet.

I've made a handmade flower by cutting out a scallop shape from card (using a Stampin up punch). I've cut down the edges of each scallop towards the center. I've then scrunched it all up and spritzed it with water which meant I could tease apart the edges of each petal so it looks like it's more than one layer. I have to thank Carole for this idea, Carole runs a local crop and demonstrated this at the weekend. I've used the boho blossoms Stampin up punch to add more layers to the flower.
The image is coloured in with Promarkers, I've used papers from a First Editions paper pad, the sentiment is using a Stampin up stamp, I've also used a Spellbinders spendid circles die and scallop die, butterfly MS punch and finally some liquid pearls.

Thanks for looking and don't forget to check out the rest of the DT cards here for lots if inspiration.

Fat free cake..

I'd like to share with you a cupcake that I made for a crafting friend for her birthday.
This is the low calorie type...

It started out as a polysterne ball!! I made the cupcake case it sits in using paper from a first edditions paper stack.

I then decorated the top with allsorts of things. There's some ribbon to hide the top of the 'bun case' and it's then covered in lots of flowers, which I think are mainly Prima and Hobbyhouse. Some of the flowers have glitter brads in the center for a bit of bling.
I've also scattered some pearl headed hat pins which helped to hold all the flowers in place.

Finally I added a flag on the top using stamps and die cuts from Whimsy stamps.
It's the first time I've had a go at making a cupcake without flour. But I was pleased with how it turned out, more importantly my friend loved it so it was appreciated.
I'd like to enter it into challenges at:
Crafty Anns challenge blog - Anything but a card
Delightful challenge - Spring colours
Paper crafting journey - Anything goes
SJ crafts challenge - Challenge 2 - flowers (option to use pink or red)
Anything goes challenge blog - Challenge 61 - Altered (I hope this counts as my cupcake started out as a polysterene ball)

Card for my Niece

Here's a card that I've made for my Niece for her birthday. She's growing up fast, but I still think of her as a little girl (she's now 11).
I've used the pink spotty paper from Stampin up from the designer series brights paper stack. I've also used some SU punches, word window and modern label. The other spotty paper and Candi are from Craftwork cards.
I'd like to enter it into challenges at:
Polka doodles - Challenge 9 - polkadots, stripes or both (I've gone for spots)
Clearly istamp - Challenge 47 -Anything goes
Poodles parlour - Birthday challenge
Divas by design - Spots or stripes
Stampin for the weekend - Bingo (Pink, buterflies and die cuts (the bunting is made using a Whimsy stamp die))
