Holiday Time...

I've been away on my early summer holidays last week to Ibiza. We all had a fab time, the kids enjoyed playing with Thomson the dog, playing in the pool and building sandcastles. I was the hotel champion at giant connect 4... lol ...
Here's a few photos to share with you

Fathers day...

Happy bank holiday Monday, another long weekend again, we've had so many recently it's great!!

Over at Lexis Creations the challenge this week is we want to see your Fathers day cards.

Our sponsor this week is Letraset

I had fun with my DT card, I was watching C&C and watched the demonstrator distressing some embossed card and realised i'd never used that piece of sandpaper I pinched from my hubby about a year ago to use in my crafting. So later that day I managed to find it and had a play around with some white core card and came up with my DT card. I hope you like it. It's using squaddie scruffles and sentiment from Stitchy bear stamps both of which were designed by Lexi.

Recipe: The digi image was coloured in with Promarkers. I used papers from Basic Grey along with some matching rub ones. I've embossed and distressed the green white core card. There's some eyelets dotted around the place and the easel part is held up with Candi, I had to colour the Candi with Promarkers as for once I didn't have the right colour.

Thanks for looking and don't forget to check out the other fabulous Fathers day cards by the rest of Lexis design team here

Recycle......

I hope that you all enjoyed our blog hop over at CRAFT challenge.

It's now time for another challenge, this week we want to you go green as our challenge (104) is alter/recycle

Our sponsor this week is Meljen's Designs the lucky winner gets to choose 4 digi images of their choice.

Here's my DT card. I've been saving the wrapping from one of my birthday pressies since January, I knew it'd come in handy eventually!! The stipey paper is the wrapping, the gold/white card at the bottom is from the gift card that came with it and it was wrapped in a big bow. The bow was too big for the card so I just re-tied the ribbon it with a simple knot.

Recipe: The Gorjuss stamped image is coloured in with Promarkers, I've added some pink ribbon, a pink glittered flower, Candi and sentiment. The rest is all recycled from my present wrapping.

Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to check out the other wonderful cards by the Craft DT here

I've used Scruffles Pirate digi which is available at Fairy Dust Crafts and Stitchy Bear Stamps
I had so much fun with this card, I've kept it hidden from my youngest son so I can give it to him for his 4th birthday. He loves Pirates, he spent most of the day today wearing his pirate outfit, even when we nipped out to the shops on his scooter he wouldn't take it off!!

Anyway here's my DT card for this challenge...

I made a scroll from some white paper and attacked it with distress inks before tearing it a little and stamping a birthday greeting onto it.

The stars and puched out from black and silver paper.

I finished it off with some gems and the cute charms

All the papers are from Doodlebug apart from the glitter paper which is from Hobbycraft. Pirate scruffles is coloured in with Promarkers and a little star gem added to his hat from my stash.
