My little Pirate and the flowers he made

Yesterday at my Sons nursery they had to dress up as a book character for world book day. He looked so cute as a pirate I thought I'd share this picture. His older brother was off school sick so he didn't get to dress up, we're going to have a dress up day at this weekend to make up for it!!

Today his brother went back to school so Owen and I had a crafting session, he made these flowers and the little pot for them to go in. I did the cutting, but I wasn't allowed anywhere near the glue or sellotape (why is it kids loves sticky stuff!!). He's also covered the bottom part in glitter and put flower stickers on it. It's now got pride of place on our fireplace.

We also got the paints out today and he painted a couple of cards, one for his Grandmad and Grandad and the other for his Auntie. (I didn't take photos of these though). We both really enjoyed our crafty morning together.

He's like to enter this into kids challenges at:

Messy's mini challenges - March challenge - Easter/spring

Kona Kids Krafters - challenge 19 - Anything goes

Stitchy Bear Kids - March challenge - Kids choice
