Birthday card - Paper piecing

Over on C.R.A.F.T. challenge this weeks challenge that ends tonight was paper piecing, so I thought I'd have a go as I've never tried this technique before. Really pleased with the result so I'll be trying it again. I stamped the girl image onto a piece of white card, plain pink and stripy paper and cut out her clothes from the pink and stripy paper and stuck them over the image on the white card. Her face, arms and hair were then coloured in with promarkers.

Here's the result:

The backing paper was from a paper stack from DCWV (Blossoms and butterflies), I used pink card candy (craftwork cards) and some ric rac and a birthday greeting and flowers to finish off the card. Not too sure where the stamp was from, it was from a stand at the Nov. NEC craft show, but I've thrown away the part of the packaging with the name on...... at a guess though it might have been from Stamposaurus.
