I've been picked.....

Yipeee just found out that I've been chosen to join the DT over at Lexis Creations. I'm so excited, just been jumping round the room getting funny looks from hubby. I can't wait to work with the rest of the design team and of course Lexis great digi images.

I've had such a fab day today. We took our eldest son to the eye hospital as he has a squint/lazy eye, we found out that it's only mild so at the moment he doesn't need any treatment which we're very happy about, but he'll keep going for check ups. After dropping him back at school me and my hubby had our first meal out together without the kids in over 10 months and then we got all the Christmas shoping finished. So with also finding out about becoming a dt member it's been a very good day.

Christmas Book

For Christmas I decided to make a christmas scrapbook for my Mum and Dad, as they live 3 hours away from us they miss out on some of the little things my boys get up to at Christmas time. By the time we see them on Dec 27th I should have filled in all the empty spaces I left for photos. I bet I'll want to keep it though!!!

Over at CRAFT challenge this week the challenge (challenge 78) is to make a Christmas present, so this is my DT project. The winner will the win the gorgeous Snowglobe digi image from The Crafty Pad Stamp Designs, which I've used on one of the pages of my book.

Here's my little book:

I still have to finish the other pages, so there will be more to follow....
The book that I used is a chipboard one ready made from Papermania. The Snowglobe image is from The Crafty Pad and coloured in with Promarkers. The letters are stickers from Papermania, the red heart buttons are from Doodlebug, the silver and white paper and card candy are from Craftwork Cards, the green paper is what I won and the other things are from my stash.

Vellum Christmas Card

Well it may still be November, but I'm feeling pretty Christmasy already, my shopping is well underway and the kids are already wearing Santa hats around the house!!
This week over at CRAFT challenge we want to see some vellum on your card/project. I couldn't resist using a cute chistmas digi from our sponsor this week to make another Christmas card as my DT card.
Our sponsor is Sew Many Digital Stamps and the winner gets to choose 5 digi images fom her online shop.

Here's my card:

The digi image is coloured in with Promarkers. The snowflake paper is from Doodlebug and edged with a star Martha Stewart punch. The other blue paper is from my stash and the vellum is a freebie from a magazine over a year ago (I knew it would come in handy). The ribbon is also from Doodlebug, the snowflake charm is from Hobbyhouse and the flowers are from a lovely shop that was at the Alexandra craft show in September, I'm so annoyed as the flowers are beautiful and reasonable price and I can't remember the name of the shop they were from. There's also lots of sparkle all over using blue and silver stickles glue.

Thanks for looking and don't forget to check out the other DT cards from CRAFT challenge.
