A bugs life...

Over at Lexis Creations, there's a new challenge

It's a bugs life

Our sponsor is Letraset

The amount of bugs that landed on me yesterday at the local wildlife park I should have just taken a photo of myself as my DT creation lol. Instead I made a card with a acetate front which is a first for me. My hubby (without been asked) said he really liked this card, so that made my day :-)

I've used some digi bug images designed by Lexi that you can find at Fairy dust crafts and Stitchy bear stamps. They are Baby Bee, Baby dragonfly, Baby ladybug and Baby flying ant, all of these have been coloured in with Promarkers

Sorry for the reflections on the acetate, i took so many photos and every one of them had a shadow across the head on shot.

Here's a close up of the flying bugs. I made a sun to go in the corner, added some ink to the edge and a bit of glitter.

I used a Marraine Creatable die to make the flower, the sentiment is made by Forever friends. The mushrooms are stickers that I found in my stash.

I cut the grass myself, but the fence is a MS die. I've added some cute little buttons of bugs. I have a slight accident with them though!! As I wanted them to lie flat, I have cut the back off, lets just say my finger got in the way. No lasting damage though and I managed to make them lie flat in the end.

You can check out the other DT 'bug' creations here.

Liams 5th Birthday Card

My baby boy is 5 on Tuesday, wow how time flies. I finished off his birthday card last night and wanted to share it with you. As he loves Mini's I used a stamp from LOTV.

I coloured the image in with my new Tria markers, I'm still getting used to them, but I love the extra thin nib.

I added some green ribbon and a cute car charm from Meiflower crafts. The paper is from my stash and the sentiment from Craftwork cards. I cut some stars out using my Slice machine and added a star gem and some dot of dark blue stickles glitter.

Wizard card...

I made a wizard card last night for my sons friend who is having a magicians party in a couple of weeks so I thought this LOTV stamp would be perfect.

Reciepe: Star paper made by Doodlebug, the rest is from my stash. The stamp is from LOTV as is the sentiment stamp. The buttons are from American crafts and I've threaded some thread through the holes. I've used a MS star punch and Nestie dies. I've also added some dots of Stickles glitter.

Wedding card for my MIL

Just a quick post from me as I'm packing ready to go 'up north' tonight ready for my MILs wedding tomorrow. I'm so excited for her. I just want to share with you the wedding card I've made for them. I cheated a little as I used a die cut image from Lili of the valley. I love this image, but wasn't sure how often I'd use the stamp form of it so went for the die cut insead. The sentiment is a stamp though (Lili of the valley)
