My kids Christmas makes

I'm on a roll tonight, I don't think I've ever done as many posts as this in one day.

I'd thought I'd show you the gifts that my boys made last week for their teachers at nursery and school. They made the mince pies and then decorated the little bags for them to go in. We had so much fun making them and of course got glitter everywhere, luckily not in the pies though!!

Here's Liams (age 4)

And here's his brothers, Owen's (age 3)

I'm entering Liam into a kids challenges at Stitchy Bear Kids the challenge for December is anything Christmas and at Kona kid krafter - Challenge 14 which is holidays

Blogger award!

Wow, I've got my first blogger award

Thanks so much Jacky (aka Paddington fan) what a lovely surprise, it's so kind of you to pass the award onto me, it' s made my day.

The rules for this are:

1 - Thank the person who sent you it

2 - Say 8 things about yourself

3- Tag four other bloggy friends

4 - Let them know

So what should I tell you about myself:

1 -I've done a skydive for breakthrough breast cancer

2-I hate coffee

3- I have three boys in my life who are my world, my hubby and our two kids

4- I can dance; I learnt ballroom, latin, disco and rock and roll dancing for 14 years

5- I drive a red mini

6- I have a Wesite dog cuddly toy called 'Chips' that sits on my bed

7- I have a PhD in cell biology

8- I'd love my feet being massaged

Now for the difficult part, choosing only four other blogs to pass the award to, after much thought I'd like to pass it onto:

Carol - at Carol's world

Lou - at Lou's love of paper

Angela - at Toucan scraps

Julia - at Scraphappy

Crimbo Crackers

Managed to make crackers to go on our table for Christmas dinner for my hubby, our boys and myself. My brother-in-law may be a last minute guest, so I made him one as well just in case. I've put little pressies in them too. Hubby was very good this year and put a surprise pressie in my cracker too.

I'd like to enter them into challenges at:
The Crafty Pad - Challenge 102 - anything goes

Creative Belli Challenge - Challenge 106 - Christmas embellishments/papers

Snow day!!

We've had lots of snow by us over the weekend, I thought I'd share a couple of photos of my boys out on their sledges taken on Saturday. We had lots of fun, but it was so cold we couldn't stay out too long. There's been no snow since Saturday evening but it's still so cold here, -11oC. I've already taken the boys out this morning on a sledge to the local shop, to get bread as we only have a couple of slices left!
Hope you all stay nice and warm. x

We have two new fishy additions to our family...

We have 2 new additions to our family, two little fishes!! It's our boys first pet and is an early Christmas present for them. We got the tank last weekend but had to wait a week for the tank to settle down before getting fish. The shop advised us to just start with just two fish then add to them over time.

Winter Birthday Card

Time for another challenge over at CRAFT, this weeks challenge is to make a Christmas Birthday card. I made this card for my BIL's who's birthday is on 22nd Dec. He has Wesite Dog and this Sugar Nellie image reminded me of Christmas jumpers so I couldn't resist using it on his card.

Our sponsor this week is Toucan Scraps. On my card I've used a couple of papers from one of Angela's new digi paper ranges 'Jolly Christmas' they are perfect for Christmas cards, but can also be used for other occassions, like on my card.

I've been picked.....

Yipeee just found out that I've been chosen to join the DT over at Lexis Creations. I'm so excited, just been jumping round the room getting funny looks from hubby. I can't wait to work with the rest of the design team and of course Lexis great digi images.

I've had such a fab day today. We took our eldest son to the eye hospital as he has a squint/lazy eye, we found out that it's only mild so at the moment he doesn't need any treatment which we're very happy about, but he'll keep going for check ups. After dropping him back at school me and my hubby had our first meal out together without the kids in over 10 months and then we got all the Christmas shoping finished. So with also finding out about becoming a dt member it's been a very good day.
